![]() Williams is scheduled to die Wednesday for murdering his rapist. PHILADELPHIA, PA (Catholic Online) - The filings are an attempt to defend the decision of Common Pleas Court Judge M. Theresa Sarmina, who stayed the Wednesday execution saying his trial was undermined because evidence was withheld.
Williams was convicted of murdering a clergyman in 1986 who was later revealed to be raping him. This fact was covered up at trial leading to William's death sentence. Now the state supreme court will decide if Williams must live or die. © 2012, Distributed by NEWS CONSORTIUM. - - - Pope Benedict XVI's Prayer Intentions for January 2013 General Intention: The Faith of Christians.
