Catholic Online (www.catholic.org) ![]() Scalia has the option to pay or fight the ticket, just like everyone else. PHILADELPHIA, PA (Catholic Online) - Scalia's driver apparently parked in a loading zone for 28 minutes over the limit and was slapped with a $31 ticket. A second car, also belonging to the justice was parked in the same place with a Supreme Court Police parking placard and was also ticketed.
The second car was being driven by a Supreme Court officer.
Officials say the placard did not authorize Scalia and his escorting officer to park as he did.
Now the esteemed justice will have to pay both tickets, or he could fight them. Technically, he could even appeal the tickets all the way up to - himself. © 2012, Distributed by NEWS CONSORTIUM. - - - Pope Benedict XVI's Prayer Intentions for January 2013 General Intention: The Faith of Christians.
